Terms of Service

These terms apply to services provided by The Car Boss and to your use of thecarboss.com.au. By booking a service you agree to them.

Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you give us about the vehicle and its condition. If the vehicle differs materially from what was described — for example significant pet hair, heavy contamination, mould, or damage not disclosed — we will tell you before continuing and give you the option to accept a revised quote or cancel at no charge.

Access and working conditions

Because we are a mobile service, you are responsible for providing a location where the vehicle can be lawfully and safely worked on, and for having the vehicle accessible at the agreed time. If we cannot safely carry out the work on arrival, or the vehicle is not accessible, we may need to reschedule.

Your belongings

Please remove personal belongings, valuables and anything fragile from the vehicle before we start. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.

What detailing can and cannot do

Detailing improves the condition and presentation of a vehicle. It does not repair damage. Some defects — including scratches through the clear coat, dyed or set stains, etched paint, and pre-existing wear or damage — may not be fully removable. Where we can see this in advance we will tell you before starting. We do not guarantee removal of any specific defect unless we have said so in writing.

Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or move a booking, let us know as early as you reasonably can. We may also need to reschedule — for example where weather makes the work unsafe or would compromise the result — and we will contact you as soon as we know.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

If something is not right

Tell us at the walk-around, or as soon as you notice. Raising it promptly gives us the best chance of putting it right.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
